Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts are scheduled for 3x12 hours on days from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Every other weekend coverage is required.

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. The ideal candidate will participate in the care management of adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and more.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Manage telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Provide care for patients with complex needs, including managing cardiac drips and handling central lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role.
• Active South Carolina RN license or compact license in hand prior to start.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required; NIHSS preferred.
• Telemetry competency is required; previous charge experience is preferred.
