Requirements / Qualifications

• Two Letters of Recommendation. • Obtain within one year of hire and maintain Food Safety Certification. EDUCATION: Required: Equivalent to completion of high school. EXPERIENCE: Required: Two years of experience in quantity cooking in a commercial/industrial setting. Desirable: School District cooking experience. EXAMINATION PROCEDURES: Following the recruitment closing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated. Those who pass screening will be invited to participate in a written examination, tentatively scheduled for September 14, 2026. Those who pass the written examination will be invited to a performance test, date: TBD. Those who pass the performance test will be invited to a panel interview with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for: TBD. Based on the final scores, a ranked candidate list will be established. Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a final interview with the hiring administrator. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.

The Fremont Unified School District is a Merit System District and fills all vacancies in the classified service through competitive examinations.
