Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and crisis intervention assessments for students needing immediate support.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet the specific needs of each child and adolescent.

  • Engage in collaborative efforts with the local Department of Correction to facilitate the treatment and reintegration of youth clients.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress as per organizational and regulatory standards.
  • \n
  • Coordinate care with various institutional programs, ensuring holistic support and resource accessibility for clients.
  • \n
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision sessions to enhance professional development and clinical skills.
  • \n
  • Lead psychoeducational and process groups, aiming for client empowerment and social skills development among participants.
  • \n
  • Conduct or assist with psychological testing, as assigned, to further inform treatment strategies.
  • \n
  • Facilitate case conferences for patients in need of comprehensive mental health services, focusing on collaborative treatment strategies.
  • \n
  • Oversee case management processes, including discharge planning and coordination with Reentry Social Workers for seamless transitions out of care.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with NewBetterYou Healthcare Services, you will primarily work with children and adolescents facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Your role involves not only direct therapy but also collaboration with families and educational staff to foster a supportive environment for each young client. By addressing their mental health needs, you will play a critical role in improving their overall well-being and academic performance.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.

  • Must hold current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

Compensation and Benefits\n
