Material Planner\nTimpl has partnered up with a 1-tier automotive supplier for global company and\nis looking for a Material Planner.\n\nDepartment: Chassis Operations Group\nReport to : Purchasing / Materials Manager\nLocation: Clinton, TN \n\nII-1. General Description\n 1. Manage material supply chain to meet production requirements and operational\n needs.\n 2. The material planner places appropriate purchase orders to suppliers for the\n needed resources. \n\nII-2. Key Roles and Responsibilities\nMaterial Planning:\n 1. The primary responsibility is to manage supply line material while meeting\n production needs. \n 2. Issue purchase order to supplier based on terms and lead time.\n 3. Maintain appropriate material inventory level based on safety stock and\n component level.\n 4. Reports potential short stock issues and remedy plan in daily production\n meeting.\n 5. Ensure materials arrives on-time and properly establishes appropriate\n inventory levels for the supply chain. \n 6. Support Service Production by placing appropriate orders for service related\n material\n 7. Managing engineering changes and build-out schedules to minimize\n obsolescence.\n 8. Expedite part shortages with shortage root cause investigation and\n resolution. Utilizes expedite shipping methods through manager approval\n process for addressing potential short stock issues.\n 9. Provide direct material payable documentation and detail.\n\n\nII-3. Job Requirements\nII-3-1. Work Experience\n 1. Manufacturing and production environment\n 2. Business administration and logistics\n 3. Knowledgeable of shipping procedures and requirements\n\n\nII-3-2. Education\n 1. BS Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management\n 2. Adequate computer software skills or equivalent training\n\n\nII-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities\n 1. Strong autonomous ability to problem solving.\n 2. Able to work under pressure and independently.\n 3. Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally, at all levels\n 4. Able to identify and resolve critical paths in the manufacturing processes.\n 5. Willing to make difficult and tough decisions.\n 6. SAP & WMS software
