Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-1

Responsibilities Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx services, covers all assigned routes within the station's service area, provides related customer service functions, and performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain the qualifications outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license according to state vehicle type requirements and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Preferred Qualifications For Hire Endorsement is Required. Pay Transparency $22.30 per hour. Additional Details Must be flexible; will be scheduled to various shifts.
