Registered Nurse - Critical Care

Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient/family teaching along with the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. This role is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in the patients' clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, abnormal results, and symptomatology. The RN must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Guide patient/family teaching and the activities of nursing personnel.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient conditions and treatments.
• Maintain the standards of patient care and confidentiality at all times.

• Current and valid state RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, preferably in critical care
• CCRN Certification preferred
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
