Licensed Physical Therapist
MLee Medical Employment
Imagine a day where your work paves the way for someone to take their first step after a surgical procedure, to reclaim their independence after a stroke, or to recover their voice following an illness. As a Licensed Physical Therapist, your role transcends mere rehabilitation - you'll restore dignity, encourage progress, and inspire hope when it's needed the most. Now, picture yourself doing this life-changing work in an inviting city that harmonizes a vibrant lifestyle with your professional aspirations. We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team in the dynamic setting of Chesapeake, Virginia. Here, clinical excellence intertwines with a welcoming community that motivates and uplifts. If you're eager to leave an indelible mark on the lives of others, this opportunity is your moment to shine. In your role, you will: - Conduct evaluations for patients in inpatient and outpatient environments, creating tailored treatment plans that meet their unique needs. - Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and functionality. - Work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes. - Teach patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge strategies, and at-home exercises. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in line with established guidelines. - Engage in collaborative care team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to ensure cohesive care delivery. To qualify, you should hold: - A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree obtained from an accredited educational program. - Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist. - CPR certification is preferred, along with any specialized credentials (like in neurology or geriatrics), though these are not mandatory. We are looking for individuals who possess: - Previous clinical experience is greatly valued. - The ability to effectively treat patients with multifaceted medical and mobility challenges. - Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities. - Familiarity with digital charting and clinical documentation systems. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: - A competitive salary - Extensive health, dental, and vision coverage - Support for continuing education and reimbursement for licensure - Paid time off alongside flexible scheduling options - A nurturing team environment and pathways for clinical growth. Every day in this role promises to be unique and enriching. You will become a pivotal presence in the initial stages of recovery, guiding patients through various challenges - whether it's assisting them in regaining balance post-surgery or encouraging someone to take the determined steps of post-stroke rehabilitation. This is a profession that combines hands-on involvement with heartfelt interaction. Your responsibilities will include evaluating patient needs, applying targeted treatment strategies, and adjusting care plans based on ongoing progress. Collaboratively working with your care team ensures safe discharge processes and smooth transitions back into daily life. Every moment in this role requires focus and empathy, and the rewards are profound. Each day, your contributions will have an immediate impact where your care will be nothing short of life-altering. The perfect candidate embodies more than their professional credentials. They acknowledge that movement is a form of healing, that kindness is transformative, and that success can manifest in various ways - from the initial effort of standing to the life-affirming act of walking. We invite you to bring your expertise, your emotional insight, and your passion to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Whether you are just starting your journey or are a seasoned expert, if you cherish evidence-based practices, teamwork, and genuine human interactions, we want to connect with you.
