CAD CAM Engineer 2

Location Chandler, Arizona Duration Up to 12 months contract with possible extension. Job Description Pay Range : $40 – $50/hr. Must Have Experience with utilizing Siemens NX/CATIA CAD tools or applicable 3D CAD systems Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (GD&T) Responsibilities The Engineer CAD CAM 2 will work within the Client Design group and will be responsible for creating drawing/design packages with proper content and ensuring compliance with applicable industry and military standards. Duties include reviewing designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication; reviewing tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and fitment on assembly prints. Well-versed in GD&T, will be called upon to resolve interpretation issues on drawings. Verifying 3D models submitted to manufacturing utilizing Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter. Liaise with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality; vendor liaison will be required as well. Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter, and create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards. Create and review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities to be used. Mechanical modeling using NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter. Create/Revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards. May supervise and direct the activities of staff as requested. Perform related duties as assigned or required. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, and NX 2412 as required. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work quickly and accurately while under schedule pressure and exhibit a large degree of patience.
