About the Opportunity - Interim Plant Controller
This is a high-impact interim leadership opportunity within a manufacturing environment undergoing post-acquisition integration. The Interim Plant Controller will step into a visible, hands-on role, partnering closely with operations and finance leadership during a critical transition period. The assignment is fully onsite and designed for a collaborative, team-oriented professional who thrives in change-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities - Interim Plant Controller

• Serve as the lead plant accounting professional, overseeing 2-3 direct reports
• Own and lead month-end close, reconciliations, and plant-level financial statement accuracy
• Support post-acquisition integration activities, including systems and inventory process migration
• Oversee plant budgeting, audits, inventory controls, and cost accounting activities
• Partner closely with operations and sales to support plant performance and decision-making
• Provide audit support and ensure strong internal controls across plant functions
• Lead and mentor the plant accounting team during the transition period
• Adapt responsibilities such as treasury, AP, and payables until transition to corporate takes place

Qualifications - Interim Plant Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Commercial manufacturing experience required; food manufacturing experience a plus
• Strong background in inventory, cost accounting, and plant financial controls
• CPA preferred but not required
• Proven experience navigating post-acquisition environments and systems migrations
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and leaders
• Highly interactive, team-focused leader who is visible on the plant floor
• Thick-skinned, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with a positive, collaborative approach
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required
