️ What You'll Do

As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

✅ Inspect diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

✅ Diagnose problems using advanced diagnostic software, testing equipment, and hand tools.

✅ Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

✅ Repair, rebuild, and overhaul diesel engines and engine components.

✅ Service and repair transmissions, air brakes, hydraulic systems, and other critical components.

✅ Troubleshoot engine performance concerns and implement effective solutions.

✅ Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.

✅ Follow all safety procedures and shop best practices when working around heavy equipment.

✅ Utilize industry-leading tools, technology, and diagnostic equipment to perform efficient repairs.

✅ Communicate repair needs, equipment status, and timelines with supervisors and team members.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

✔️ Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic on trucks, buses, or heavy equipment.

✔️ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

✔️ Hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines.

✔️ Knowledge of hydraulic systems and heavy equipment repairs.

✔️ Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and engine controls.

✔️ Familiarity with transmissions, air brake systems, and drivetrain components.

✔️ Proficiency using diagnostic software and computerized troubleshooting tools.

✔️ Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.

⭐ Bonus Qualifications

Experience working on semi-trucks, buses, or construction equipment.

Knowledge of fleet maintenance programs.

Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, KY.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
