Key Responsibilities Examine and Diagnose : Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral conditions, and create treatment plans for patients. Preventive Care : Provide routine dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive measures. Restorative Procedures : Perform procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and other restorations to treat decayed or damaged teeth. Oral Surgery : Extract teeth and perform minor surgical procedures, including simple and surgical extractions. Cosmetic Procedures : Provide aesthetic treatments such as teeth whitening, veneers, and bonding to improve patients\' smiles. Patient Education : Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to maintain oral health. Prosthodontics : Provide dentures, partials, and other prosthetic appliances for tooth replacement. Collaborative Care : Work with our orthodontists, periodontists, endodontists and oral surgeons when referrals are necessary. Skills Strong diagnostic skills and ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans. Proficient in the latest dental technologies and techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage patient anxiety and create a comfortable environment. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Work Environment Collaboration with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff. Interaction with a diverse patient base, requiring empathy and clear communication. Schedule Full-time, evening and weekend hours. Compliance Adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations regarding patient safety, data privacy, and professional standards. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school. State Licensure: Must be licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Pennsylvania. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Continuing education in accordance with state regulations.
