A home away from home for our residents.Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN Supervisor to join our team at Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term planning of patient care, overseeing staff, collaborating with physicians, and providing both physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify patient service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual patients, as well as others in a position to understand service needsComplete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staffEstablish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and familiesProvide information to patients and the healthcare team by answering questions and addressing requestsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulationsProtect patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies, enforcing medication administration, and ensuring compliance with controlled substance regulationsMaintain patient confidentiality by monitoring the secure processing of confidential informationEnsure proper documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department recordsOversee medical and administrative equipment by verifying the availability of emergency equipment, completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairsMaintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solvingRequirementsCurrent NYS RN Licensure (BSN preferred but not required).
