What You'll Do

As a CT Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while creating a safe, compassionate, and positive experience for every patient. You'll work closely with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to ensure accurate imaging, seamless workflow, and outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Safety

• Verify patient identity and imagingorders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Confirm pregnancy status andevaluate patients for potential contrast media allergies or adversereactions
• Review lab values and educatepatients on potential risks, effect/side effects and benefits of contrastmedia and radiation exposure
• Position patients respectfully andcomfortably with care and precision to achieve optimal imaging results andensure the correct anatomical area is scanned
• Monitor patient comfort and respondto concerns with professionalism and empathy

CT Imaging & Contrast Administration

• Perform high-quality CT imagingprocedures following established protocols
• Administer IV and oral contrastmedia safely and effectively
• Start IV lines and monitor patientsfor adverse reactions
• Prepare and operate CT equipment, selectappropriate exposure factos while following ALARA radiation safetyprinciples
• Ensure images meet qualitystandards and are transferred promptly to PACS
• Perform procedural timeouts and usesterile/aseptic techniques as required

Collaboration & Workflow

• Partner with radiologists, nursingteams, the Emergency Department, scheduling and other departments toprovide seamless patient care
• Guide patients through procedureswith clear communication while addressing questions and concerns withcompassion and professionalism.
• Support efficient scheduling andaccommodate urgent or add-on exams when needed
• Foster positive, professionalrelationships with patients, physicians, and fellow technologists throughrespectful and collaborative communication.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in QA and ContinuousQuality Improvement initiatives
• Assist with developing, updatingand improving imaging protocols
• Support accreditation processes,department projects, and inventory management
• Communicate equipment concernsproactively to leadership and service vendors

Team Support & Professional Growth

• Assist in orienting and mentoringnew team members
• Contribute to a positive,team-oriented department culture
• Partner with lead technologists topromote ongoing education, skill enhancement, and professional developmentwithin the team.
• Maintain compliance with allapplicable State of Montana, DNV, CMS, ARRT, and ASRT regulations andstandards.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School ofRadiologic Technology
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experienceOR successful completion of a CT cross-training program
• Eligible for registration with ARRTin CT certification within 12 months of hire
• Current Montana RadiologicTechnologist permit
• Current BLS certification
