About the Position

Job Title: Perioperative RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room, Perioperative Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 0 Years Required License: Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state Certifications: Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire Must-Have: Available to take an average of 7-9 days of call per month with a 20-minute response time to the hospital. Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques. Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions. A great team player with excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and listening. Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and the ability to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances. Description: Join our Surgical Team. You play an essential role in the provision of care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures. You are efficient with a high level of attention to detail and are passionate about patient safety. The ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of general nursing skills. You must be able to adapt and learn new skills without hesitation. Due to the rural location, this position will call on your ability to respond quickly and accurately in various situations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their nursing skills. Requires rotating on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a bonus. Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU is preferred. Be skilled in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating all General, Ortho, and OB cases (C-sections). Be available to help in trauma cases in the ER. Be skilled at a level that provides confidence in caring for surgical patients overnight as the only OR nurse during emergency call cases.
