Job Description:

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on patient needs and established plan of care/pathway.
• Provide education for patients and families from admission through the discharge process.
• Document the nursing process/pathway thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly.
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in the patient's status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as written.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
• Critical thinking skills.
