Sterile Processing Technician

Responsibilities

The Sterile Processing Technician, under the direction of the unit charge nurse, collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Maintains code carts, chest carts, urology carts. Cleans hospital wide equipment as needed.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification in sterile processing required

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

Must have 2-5 years of experience in sterile processing.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
