THE OPPORTUNITY

Role: Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Phoenix, AZ Area

Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 / year + competitive benefits

The Mission: We are seeking a high-caliber, business-minded Operations Manager to take full P&L ownership and operational command of a major regional manufacturing facility. If you are a experienced, transformative manufacturing leader who excels at balancing financial performance with human-centric leadership, this is your next career move.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Total P&L Ownership: Drive financial health by managing capital expenditures, controlling labor costs/overtime, and optimizing operational budgets.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct all local operations spanning Production, Sales, Maintenance, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving .
Strategic Execution: Translate corporate vision into daily plant objectives, steering the leadership team (including the Plant Manager and Sales Manager) toward aggressive targets.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean manufacturing techniques to enhance plant performance, drive asset reliability, and execute plant recovery/optimization processes.
Safety & Compliance: Champion a zero-injury culture by ensuring rigorous OSHA compliance and proactive risk mitigation.
Talent Development: Oversee workforce planning, hiring, training, and performance management to build a highly engaged, accountable team.

THE IDEAL PROFILE

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive management experience within a manufacturing environment.
Scale: Proven success managing an operation with 100+ employees .
Financial Acumen: Direct experience managing a full P&L; ability to make strategic business decisions rooted in financial statements and data.
Technical Tools: Proficiency with ERP systems, manufacturing software, and advanced MS Excel.

Preferred Attributes

Industry Focus: Background in architectural glass, building materials, or structural fabrication is highly advantageous.
Methodologies: Strong execution of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement frameworks.
Languages: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a major plus.
