Position Overview

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated FAA Assembler to support the assembly, testing, calibration, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical components in an FAA-regulated manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical aptitude who want to build a career in aerospace manufacturing while working with quality-driven teams and industry-leading products.

Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production
  • Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished products according to:

    • Engineering drawings

    • Blueprints

    • Work instructions

    • Product specifications

  • Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring devices to complete assembly tasks

Testing & Calibration
  • Perform functional testing and calibration of products

  • Verify components meet specifications and tolerance requirements

  • Troubleshoot and repair assemblies that fail testing or inspection

Quality Inspection
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections

  • Ensure products meet FAA, customer, and quality requirements

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow FAA, safety, and company procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Support continuous improvement and team objectives

QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to read and interpret:

    • Work instructions

    • Blueprints

    • Technical documentation

  • Basic mechanical aptitude

  • Experience using hand and power tools

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred
  • Technical training, vocational education, or apprenticeship

  • 0–2 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or related experience

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move materials exceeding 30 lbs.

  • Frequent:

    • Standing

    • Walking

    • Bending

    • Reaching

    • Repetitive hand movements

  • Exposure to:

    • Manufacturing machinery

    • Noise

    • Chemicals

    • Production environments

  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
