About the Role

A well-established post-acute rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position with strong potential for permanent placement. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced therapists and new graduates looking to build their clinical foundation in a supportive rehab setting.

You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to help patients regain independence and improve functional outcomes following illness, injury, or surgery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs and functional mobility
• Provide patient and family education on adaptive strategies and equipment
• Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physical therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and physicians
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active New York State Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
