Senior Bridge Engineer

Compensation: $120,000 - $200,000 / year Department: Transportation Location: Seattle, WA Description Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO. Remote opportunities may be available for the right candidate. Responsibilities Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges Prepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specifications Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes Strong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering Structures lead for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts Qualifications B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Masters a plus Registered PE, SE required 12+ years experienceWillingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required— Experience working in bridge design team Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus Established relationships with local clients (WSDOT/ITD) a plus Solid understanding of transportation projects Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Generous paid time off 401(k): 50% match of contribution up to 6% Professional development opportunities including in-house training Paid professional organization membership and professional licensure Equal Opportunity Employer including disability and protected veteran status #J-18808-Ljbffr Horrocks
