Allied Technician - Surgical Tech

Surgical Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various surgical areas and be able to support a range of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Ensure all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functional.
• Provide assistance to surgeons and surgical teams during operations.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow all infection control protocols.
• Participate in equipment maintenance and inventory management.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Proficiency with EPIC and Da Vinci surgical systems.
• Experience in orthopedics, including total joint replacement and orthopedic trauma.
• Knowledge in neuro, peripheral vascular, and cardiovascular procedures is preferred.

Certification Requirements

• Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification required at the time of submission.

Shift Details

This position will involve 10-hour shifts that could start at various times, including 0700, 0900, 1100, 1300, or 1500. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Floating Requirements

The candidate may be required to float to different operating rooms as necessary.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

Availability on weekends and holidays as needed is required.

Additional Information

No more than 7 days of requested time off is allowed. This role is not open to new graduates.
