Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Nursing License Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - EKG exam pass required - Epic charting system experience Description: Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry needed. Candidates should have acute care rehab experience preferred. The role involves interpreting laboratory results and conducting medication reconciliation. Candidates will perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations. Duties include dressing changes and setup of aseptic/sterile procedure trays. Phlebotomy and labeling of specimens are also required tasks. Telephone triage and handling pharmacy calls/patient refill requests are part of the job. The patient population includes individuals with CVA, TBI, ABI, and spinal cord injuries. The work environment will cater to adults and geriatric patients. Staffing ratios are 1:6, allowing for modified care needs. All staff must be flexible with scheduling, understanding the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. Candidates should be prepared to float to various campuses if necessary.
