Apex Systems is looking for a senior systems analyst to support one of our fortune 100 clients!

Location: Must be onsite in McLean on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

In this Appain Product analysis Professional role, you will be significantly contributing to overall project delivery and operations. You will provide technical analysis and prepare technical requirements/user stores, you will work with a team of developers, while being very hands on at the same time.

Our Impact

We are the Appian Center of Excellence team (CoE). Within IT, we fall under Corporate Technologies Business Transformation Office (CTBTO). Our team is especially responsible for Appian applications development, test, delivery, and prod support under Automation team. We use cutting edge technologies, like Appian low code platform to help automate business processes to make them efficient, robust, and user-friendly.

This person will also:

• Work with Agile Core team to understand the desired capability, to define and prioritize work, determine artifacts.
• Help with writing the requirements for application development, prototyping, modeling, unit testing.
• Actively facilitate issue resolution and issue tracking. Identify mitigation steps and ensures risks and issues are mitigated/resolved in a timely manner.
• Implement internal process improvements: Automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, participate in re-designing application processes for greater scalability, etc.
• Be able to ensure accuracy and completeness in dealing with systems analysis
• Support the Development TL and/or PM in managing projects / Agile Sprints
• Perform Unit testing and Integration testing, including test data creation for various test scenarios.

Qualifications

* 3+ years experience in Information Technology

. * Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent working experience.

* 2+ years of hands-on experience in design, implementation, and production support of Appian S/W applications. Work experience must be with Appian version 19.x or higher.

* 2+ years of system analysis experience.

* Deep technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customer and resolve production issues

. * Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, XML and web services (SOAP/REST)

* Experience applying Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles.

* Knowledge of business process modeling and optimization techniques, including orchestration of modeled process

* Practical experience designing and building enterprise and/or distributed systems

 * Understanding of software architecture, a plus.
