Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Attentive Care is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency serving the Capital Region of New York. Our mission is to help clients remain safe and independent at home by providing compassionate, reliable in-home nursing and caregiver services. As a Personal Care Aide (PCA), you will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily living activities and fostering their well-being in a home setting. You will be part of a team that values professionalism, empathy, and dedication to quality care. Key responsibilities include: Provide one-on-one in-home support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, and transfers Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean environment Run errands and provide transportation support for clients, as needed Offer companionship and safety supervision to promote independence and comfort Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and agency staff Required Qualifications: Active NYS PCA certification with recent experience working through a licensed home care agency Reliable transportation to travel to client homes throughout the service area (Albany, Guilderland, Rensselaer, Clifton Park Center, East Greenbush) Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak) Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing in-home assistance with activities of daily living and personal care Valid NYS PCA certificate verifiable on the NYS Home Care Registry Bilingual skills in languages commonly used by clients Willingness and ability to drive/transport clients as part of assignments Compensation expectations aligned with pay starting at $18.65/hour (plus up to $2/hour for client transportation assignments where applicable) Why Aides Choose Attentive Care Competitive pay starting at $18.65/hour, with up to $2/hour additional for client transportation assignments Flexible scheduling — work based on your availability Opportunities to pick up additional hours and open shifts Weekly pay + direct deposit Weekend bonuses Holiday & vacation pay Paid in-services (online available) NYS Sick Leave Health insurance benefits Friendly, supportive office team
