Sante Consulting is conducting a search for an exceptional Neuropathologist to one of the Carolinas’ largest independent pathology practices. This physician-owned group of more than 30 pathologists represents a broad range of subspecialties and has served the region for over 50 years, delivering high-quality anatomic, clinical, and molecular pathology services to leading healthcare systems, cancer centers, and physician practices throughout North and South Carolina.

Based in Charlotte, this primarily clinical opportunity offers the chance to support a busy neurosurgical and neuro-oncology service within a large healthcare system. Join an established team of two neuropathologists, evaluate challenging cases across adult and pediatric populations, and collaborate with specialists across neurosurgery, neurology, and oncology.

The Opportunity

The neuropathology service evaluates complex cases from across the health system, with all neurosurgical procedures performed at the campus.

Clinical responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing primary brain tumors in adult and pediatric patients.
• Evaluating spinal cord pathology.
• Interpreting muscle and peripheral nerve biopsies.
• Providing neuropathology consultation for select hospital autopsies.
• Collaborating with neurosurgery, neurology, and oncology colleagues to support comprehensive patient care.
• Participating in multidisciplinary tumor board conferences.
• Exploring translational research collaborations with oncologists.

The broader health system performs approximately 150 autopsies annually, providing additional opportunities for neuropathology consultation in appropriate cases.

The client offers a competitive compensation structure designed to recognize professional growth and support long-term financial success.

• Annual Salary Increases: Increases ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 annually.
• Retirement Benefits: Competitive employee benefits and retirement savings opportunities, with potential annual contributions of approximately $47,000, subject to plan provisions and applicable IRS limits.
• Sign-On Bonus: Negotiable.
• Partner Compensation: Reportedly among the top 5% nationally for private pathology practices. Additional details are available before an onsite interview.
