Manufacturing AssemblerThe Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for using various hand and power tools to assemble parts according to work instructions to meet customer specifications and quality standards in a safe manner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare work to be accomplished by studying work instructions, blueprints, customer drawings and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, hand tools and materials needed to complete tasksFollow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures to manufacture sub-assemblies per customer and quality requirementsCalculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gauges, measuring tapes, etc.Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instrumentsReport problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor or applicable personnel (i.e. Management, Quality Control Inspectors, Engineering staff, etc.) to obtain clarification, minimizing scrap and error rateKeep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs when necessary (i.e. oiling pneumatic air tools, etc.)Comply with policies, procedures, guidelines and regulatory guidelines per company quality system notifying applicable personnel of quality issuesComplete all administrative functions related to business or quality systems (i.e. Production Logs, etc.)Maintain continuity among work shifts and/or departments by documenting and communicating actions taken, irregularities that occurred and continuing needsEnsure work assignments are carried out to the highest quality ensuring customer specifications are metProvide hands-on job function training to co-workers as neededConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsMaintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, reporting shortages to applicable personnelCarry out all orders of Management efficiently while harmoniously working as part of a team to meet company goalsFollow all company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional relationship with colleagues, customers, vendors and associatesMaintain a clean and organized work area in order to facilitate manufacturing functionsUtilize computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve informationMaintain and update filing and database systems either manually or using a computerManage time to determine priorities in order to effectively accomplish a broad range of activitiesContinuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer's experienceCommunicate in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner with all employees, customers, management, and others with whom we may work.Contribute to a successful work group and foster a team-oriented culture through positive interactions, active listening, meaningful collaborations, high employee engagement, and the constructive exchange of ideas designed to meet or exceed the organization's strategic goals.Other duties will be assigned during the course of employment.QualificationsPrevious manufacturing assembly experiencePrevious experience using hand tools (i.e., hand tools, die cutter press, etc.)Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate effectively in the English languageStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to professionally and efficiently complete manufacturing tasksAbility to work collectively with team membersHighly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfactionProfessional appearancePhysical Work/Environment RequirementsPosition in a warehouse environment and requires the use of various types of equipment (hand tools, power tools, etc.)Requires light to heavy liftingRequires continuous sitting, standing and walkingPhysical DemandSitting: Constant 67-100% -
