Position Overview Full‑time Paralegal / Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary at Stange Law Firm, PC in Belleville, IL. Join one of the nation’s leading family law firms to support attorneys in domestic relations matters. Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors professionally; answer and forward telephone calls. Schedule appointments, coordinate communications, and maintain client service. Prepare, draft, proofread, and file pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents. Maintain organized electronic and physical client files; calendar hearings, deadlines, meetings, and appointments. Assist attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, and litigation support. Perform electronic filing with courts, organize documents, process mail, scan, copy, and distribute. Enter billable time into the firm’s time‑keeping software on the day work is performed. Utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and the firm’s case‑management software. Qualifications Preferred: prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a law firm. No experience acceptable if strong work ethic and organizational skills. Preferred: experience in family law or litigation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational ability and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; quick learner of new technology. Positive attitude, professionalism, dependability, and customer‑service orientation.
