About F the Bar: F the Bar is a petite watering hole with an max occupancy of only 80 people that focuses on craft cocktails, natural wine, local beer, and good vibes.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Bartender at F the Bar is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks, and cook small menu items while providing exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSILITIES

• Welcome guests and provide a high level of service
• Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/card payment procedures.
• Develop and teach cocktails and new menu items to the rest of the staff
• Maintain and count inventory of products, glassware, bar supplies, and disposables on a weekly basis
• Protect establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bars including clearing/wiping of tables, chairs, and work areas
• Answer basic property and DTLV questions and provide recommendations
• Assist with checking in all orders relating to the bar and keeping track of invoices.
• Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures
• Cook the small menu items, following recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld in the kitchen.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Exceptional cash handling skills and working knowledge of POS systems
• Able to effectively communicate in English in both the verbal and written form
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required
• Two (2) or more years of previous, bartending, cash handling, and customer service experience in the hospitality or retail environment preferred
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Obtain and Maintain SNHD Health Card, Alcohol Awareness Card, and Sherriff's Card.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift.

• Work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, and cigarette smoke.
