THE BASICS Pay: $77,000–$88,000 Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours Flexibility based on project demands In‑office during training Work‑from‑home eligibility after 1 year of full training Periodic site visits and coordination with field teams Benefits: Fuel card Professional development assistance Training and certification support Advancement opportunities Bonus potential Stable, year‑round work Overtime availability WHAT YOU'LL TAKE CHARGE OF AS A COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR Producing detailed, accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, including big‑box retail work Reviewing drawings, specifications, addenda, and scope documents with precision Developing material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing Coordinating with field teams to validate scopes, change orders, and cost impacts Preparing and estimating change orders and securing approvals Maintaining organized estimate files and documentation Supporting scheduling and workload planning with operations Communicating professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams Meeting win/loss ratio targets and supporting company quota goals Participating in pricing, scope, and contract negotiations Following up consistently throughout the bidding and award process Upholding company standards for professionalism, confidentiality, and data management REQUIREMENTS FOR A COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR Bachelor's degree required (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field) 5+ years of estimating experience Commercial and industrial construction experience Strong working knowledge of on‑site construction processes Structural steel and welding experience preferred Solid understanding of construction equipment, materials, and labor costs Proficiency in reading construction plans and specifications Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments Retail construction experience strongly preferred A LITTLE ABOUT US: LUCAS INDUSTRIAL Lucas Industrial is a trusted Murfreesboro welding and fabrication company specializing in custom metalwork, structural steel, and mobile welding services.
