Position Machine Operator – 2nd shift (Mon‑Thurs 3:30 p‑1:30 a) overtime as needed. Compensation $22.55 /hr after 90 days of qualification, approximately $24.55 /hr. Responsibilities Set up and operate straight cutting equipment. Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and determine necessary adjustments. Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks, including minor repairs. Level the cutting by using different thickness spotting tapes and packing. Review and follow the job ticket. Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule, accurately following instructions. Conduct quality checks and in‑process inspections, ensuring product conforms to quality standards. Maintain make‑ready and cutting standards and keep the work area neat and clean. Follow all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, including policies, work instructions, and safety and environmental guidelines. Complete non‑compliance documentation as necessary. Train co‑workers to set up, operate and use equipment as directed. Perform other job duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience operating Polar, Perfecta or similar straight cutting equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Physical ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the shift. Basic computer skills (data entry) and basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, simple fraction conversion to decimal and division. Ability to read a ruler and pass a ruler test. Must pass a basic reading test, color vision test and color hue test. Demonstrate ability to use samples and materials to verify job accuracy and quality. Possess competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self‑motivation. Good attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed, including significant overtime during busy periods. Perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
