Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Key Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interviews, and acceptance requirements. Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results. Monitor donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing standing orders for the Center Physician and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities. Communicate findings and guidance regarding donor safety and eligibility to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, assess need for occupational health evaluation, and follow EHS guidance. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or graduate‑equivalent nursing education with state requirements. Current license or certification in the state of assignment: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage range: $35.20 – $48.40 (dependent on qualifications and location). Eligibility for short‑term incentives.
