Exclusive family recipes, spice combinations and curing methods give Volpi Italian meat products their distinctive Old World flavor. Position Summary:Performs facility maintenance preventive and repair duties as assigned including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting on equipment and machinery used in the operation of food processing, packaging, and air handling. This position also facility/building maintenance up to and including light electrical, and plumbing repair. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Prepare machinery for scheduled production runs, i.e., able to assist with equipment change oversComplete work orders and perform required preventative maintenance on all building and facilities systemsComplete lubrication tasks and workorders throughout the facilityAssist with troubleshooting and repairs of heating and cooling systems (basic boiler, steam, refrigeration)Open, review, complete workorders, PMs, sensors, and breakdowns in Redzone software platformComply with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) safety & health rulesSubmit parts lists required for assigned tasks (identifying required replacement parts)Understand and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Policy & all safety policiesComplete Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks, as assignedAssist with rebuilds and overhaulsCertify in and maintain Volpi forklift and pallet jack certification (required for movement up to Level 2)Complete other duties as assigned Candidate Qualifications:A minimum of two years of experience in a mechanical discipline or Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or related technical discipline.
