LPN Nursing Position in Dayton, OH

Job Title: LPN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience License: Active state LPN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment. Experience with ventilators. Experience with EPIC charting system.

Description: 36 or 48-hour shift options are available. Their application must demonstrate some 1:5 patient ratio experience in the work history section. ICU experience does not count towards step down or progressive care unit experience. Unit may participate in a team nursing model. RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner to care for a group of patients. This approach aims to manage workload and enhance patient care. Nurses may function in team nursing or primary nursing based on unit needs. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but may reach 1:5-6. Candidates must possess vent and Epic experience. Floating may be required based on unit needs. Traveler should be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Candidates are not eligible for employee incentives. Daily patient population includes individuals with COPD, CHF, pneumonia, flu, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, and post-COVID conditions. Support is provided by respiratory therapists for patients needing trach and vent care. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other units as needed. Maximum of 14 days requested time off is allowed per contract. References are not required. Candidates with past license disciplinary action will not be accepted.
