Job PostingMarkon is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure, mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing Linux and Windows environments, implementing security best practices, and supporting complex server ecosystems.ResponsibilitiesMonitor system logs, applications, and infrastructure health on a daily basis; implement automation wherever possiblePerform system backups and data archiving in accordance with Sponsor-approved schedulesHarden Linux systems following information security engineering principles and industry best practicesMaintain and administer enterprise server environments, including:Windows ServersLinux ServersOracle Database ServersApache ServersDNS ServersDomain ControllersApply server patches and operating system updates in accordance with ISSM requirements; automate patching processes when feasibleAssist with hardware and software procurement, installation, and implementationManage software licensing and ensure renewals are completed in a timely mannerObtain required Sponsor waivers as neededSubmit Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Requests for Change (RFCs) through appropriate channelsCollaborate closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and customer security teamsRecommend and implement improvements to system reliability, availability, and maintainabilityQualificationsActive TS/SCI w/ Full Scope PolygraphMinimum 10 years of experience in configuration management and enterprise systems administrationBachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldDemonstrated team-based experience supporting:Linux and Windows serversOracle database serversDNS servers and domain controllersNetwork storage devicesHP serversExperience designing, configuring, and installing enterprise information systems including routers, switches, servers, storage systems, and end-user devicesExperience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows-based domainsDesired QualificationsExperience supporting the full DevOps lifecycle, including build pipeline integration, automated deployments, compliance scanning, and test-driven developmentExperience deploying, provisioning, operating, and maintaining Linux environments (CentOS and Ubuntu)Experience implementing and maintaining systems in compliance with Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies (e.g., ICD 503)Experience implementing development and testing automation tools and IT infrastructure solutionsExperience managing virtualized infrastructure environmentsSalary Range USD $190,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr. The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
