Pharmacy Technician

A retail pharmacy requires a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a short-term, per diem assignment providing essential support in daily operations. This role is based in Urbana, IL, with coverage needed from September 15th to 16th. Shifts are during the first shift, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the system.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription orders efficiently and safely.
• Manage and order over-the-counter (OTC) inventory to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Greet customers warmly and address their needs or concerns with exceptional service.
• Work with third-party prescription plans to resolve billing or adjudication issues, ensuring smooth prescription processing.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience with Pioneer Rx software is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Hours:

• Per diem role.
• September 15th and 16th.
• First shift: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
