\n**Job Responsibilities**\n
\n- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions\n
\n- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations\n
\n- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy\n
\n- Perform advanced endoscopic procedures consistent with training, experience, and privileges\n
\n- Participate in and help expand an advanced endoscopy program, including ERCP\n
\n- Collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists, primary care providers, and other specialists in managing complex patients\n
\n- Participate in hospital consultation and call responsibilities as assigned\n
\n- Provide timely documentation, communication, and follow-up for patients\n
\n- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical initiatives\n
\n- Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners as appropriate\n
\n
\n**Qualifications**\n
\n- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school\n
\n- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency\n
\n- Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship\n
\n- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology\n
\n- Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania\n
\n- Eligible for hospital and procedural privileges\n
\n- ERCP training and experience preferred\n
\n
\n**Working Hours**\n
\nFull-time position combining outpatient clinic days with inpatient consultations and scheduled endoscopy/procedure blocks, plus participation in a shared hospital call rotation as assigned.\n
\n
\n**Skills**\n
\n- Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy); ERCP experience a plus\n
\n- Broad-based management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disease\n
\n- Strong clinical judgment across inpatient and outpatient settings\n
\n- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration\n
\n- Commitment to high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care\n
\n- Interest in teaching, mentorship, and medical education\n
