Respiratory Intern

Job Description Student currently enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Therapy program who will obtain and maintain a state license to work within the scope of their knowledge, with the opportunity to advance skills through application of their growing knowledge. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist, including where applicable cardiopulmonary scope of practice. Tasks include diagnostic and metabolic testing, patient assessment, treatment, planning, therapeutic interventions, analysis, and reporting of clinical response. Collaborate with medical staff and other health‑care team members to support efficient, cost‑effective, and quality patient and family care, provide patient and family education, and assist with discharge planning. Support system, facility, and department growth through participation in performance improvement activities, continuing education, and professional growth and development activities, along with other duties as assigned. Position type: PRN Day (United States of America). Qualifications Applicable experience: Less than 1 year. Basic Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
