About the Position

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Must have a valid RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 4 during days and 5 during nights Description: ER Registered Nurses will rotate between multiple clinics. The nurse will provide care for a diverse patient population including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 86 patient visits. The unit staffing includes a patient room capacity of 16. Required skills include management of abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, drug overdose, and more. The nurse should be capable of interpreting dysrhythmias, managing violent behavior, and performing phlebotomy. Additional duties involve triaging patients, managing urinary tract infections, and handling trauma cases. The candidate should be familiar with charting systems, specifically Epic. This role requires an understanding of infection control protocols and the administration of emergency medications. The nurse's responsibilities will also include mental and behavioral health management.
