- Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and craft personalized therapy strategies to facilitate their functional goals.
- Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Apply proven techniques to foster improvements in patients' motor skills, cognition, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their caregivers on therapeutic exercises and strategies to ensure progress continues in their everyday environments.
- Track and Evaluate Progress: Maintain detailed documentation and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to promote positive outcomes for each individual.
- Adopt a degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Encourage ongoing professional development through continuing education and advanced certifications.
- Possess a valid and active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- Hold an NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy), required.
- Innate passion for empowering individuals towards their highest independence.
