Assembly Supervisor

We're looking for a skilled Assembly Supervisor who enjoys developing their team and greets challenges with a "let's figure it out" attitude. This is not a desk job - you'll spend most of your day on the shop floor moving between work centers.

Pay starts at $35.00 per hour, based on experience, and benefits include PTO, paid holidays, health insurance, and a 401k with up to 4% match.

What you'll do as the Assembly Supervisor:

• Oversee daily shop floor operations and guide Assembly team members with a hands-on approach.
• Ensure production teams have what they need to meet production goals and uphold quality standards.
• Manage employee performance including delivery of reviews and improvement plans.
• Ensure seamless flow of Assembly orders by aligning available capacity to production needs.
• Work closely with other departments to maintain smooth operations and quickly resolve challenges.
• Monitor production metrics; assist in reporting on efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Use Lean tools, like A3s, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis, to manage daily work and actively engage your team in continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment using 6S principles.
• Work safely. Be a good example of safety best practices and enforce proper PPE usage.

Desired Skills & Abilities

• At least 2 years' experience in a leadership role directly overseeing 5 or more employees. Experience from non-manufacturing industries (e.g., retail or restaurant) is acceptable.
• Strong communication skills. You'll work with and lead people from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Passion for motivating people, instilling accountability, and achieving results.
• Comfortable using standard computer programs like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively delegate work to the team.
• Read, write, speak, create, understand, and explain English directions, documents, safety rules, etc.
• Ability to use analytical skills, critical thinking, and intermediate math skills to solve complex problems.
• Bonus points if you can read/interpret technical drawings and bills of material (BOMs), have prior experience applying Lean methods to daily operations, and/or have experience using an ERP system like Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Pay & Benefits:

• The full pay range for this position is $35.00 to $43.00 per hour. New hires typically start between $35.00 to $39.00 per hour, based on relevant experience, education, and training, as well as market and business considerations.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) with up to 4% match.
• Two weeks of paid time off plus paid holidays.

Hours & Address:

• This is a 100% on-site, full-time opportunity working 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, plus overtime as needed.
