Our organization is seeking a full-time Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join our esteemed team at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. Key Responsibilities- Base salary ranging from $240,000 to $385,000 annually.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Supervise the Medical ICU team, including Medical Residents.
- Provide Critical Care consultations in the Surgical ICU alongside Medical Residents and Critical Care Fellows.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Conduct inpatient consultations for Pulmonary cases.
- Responsibilities will encompass clinical practice and educational duties for Pulmonary fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center, based on qualifications.
- Possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state.
- Preferred: Board Certified or eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care.
- Education Debt Reduction Program: Assistance with outstanding medical school loans.
- Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and up to 5 days for CME.
- Retirement Plan: Traditional federal pension (5-year vesting) and a federal 401K with contributions up to 5% from the organization.
- Continuing Medical Education: Up to $1,000 reimbursement per year (must be full-time and board certified).
- Employment Contract: No restrictive Physician Employment Contract and flexibility for moonlighting.
