Job Description Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Technician to support our client's medical facility based in Chantilly, VA 20151. This is a 3-month assignment (with the Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Title: Specimen Technician Location: Chantilly VA 20151 Pay Range: $17 - 18.58 (Based on Experience) Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 10 pm-6:30 am Duration: 03 months with possible extensions Position Summary The Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I) supports laboratory operations by processing, sorting, centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing specimens for testing in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities * Perform specimen processing, pre-sort, centrifugation, and aliquoting. * Place samples into automation devices and process through CSSS automation. * Accurately enter patient/specimen data. * Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards. * Transport and distribute specimens to laboratory departments. * Follow compliance, biohazard, and laboratory procedures. Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Basic computer and data entry skills required. * Previous laboratory, hospital, or production experience preferred. * Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. * Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
