This is an opportunity to contribute directly to mission-critical avionics and embedded capabilities that enable the performance, safety, and effectiveness of next-generation military aviation systems.This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Continued eligibility for access to classified information is required throughout employment, as dictated by program needs.Basic Requirements:Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a STEM discipline5+ years of embedded software development experienceC++ development for safety-critical avionics systemsReal-Time Operating Systems (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity)Embedded application development using RTOS and Windows environmentsPrior SW Development and Integration experience utilizing the following communications protocols (MIL-STD-1553 & Ethernet)Software integration & test in lab and hardware environmentsAbility to obtain a security clearanceAbility to work onsite 100%Ability to travel 10%Preferred / Additional SkillsActive Secret Security ClearanceExperience utilizing Greenhills ARINC 653/APEX APIExperience developing software for Electronic Warfare and Self Protection Systems ((ALQ-213, ALE-47, AN/AAR-47, AN/ALR-56M)Familiarity with software requirements development utilizing IBM DOORSCI/CD Pipeline experienceExperience updating/reviewing software documentation (SRS/IRS, SDD/IDD, STP, STD, STR, etc)Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)Version control and issue tracking (Gitlab, Atlassian suite)Hardware/software integration and troubleshootingExperience with Wireshark and Lua script pluginsExperience with safety-critical software development and practices (DO-178C)Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designsAbility to work in a collaborative and team-based environmentExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsSound Exciting?
