Qualifications

• Supervise the repair process in the workshop.
• Ensure accurate repair order write up.
• Supervise technicians.
• Mentor technicians.
• Lead technicians to fix cars right the first time, following approved repair procedures. Maintain repeat repair documentation.
• Responsible for the quality of repairs in the service workshop.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and uniform appearance for the entire workshop.
• Responsible for the efficiency and productivity of the technicians.
• Participate in the technician hiring decisions, termination and other HR issues.
• Ensure that all technicians adhere to company policies.
• Determine the training needs of the technicians and inform management of these needs.
• Assure that flat rate time assignments are true and accurate.
• Ensure all technicians adhere to their work schedule, including days off, start time, lunch and finish time.
• Inform management of any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its associates, or its customers.
• Responsible for the implementation of best practices in the workshop:
  • Dispatch
  • Quality Control of the work performed
  • Management of repeat repairs
  • Technician technical training
  • Special tool management
  • Quick access to technical information, tools and equipment
  • Ensuring that the correct approved repair methods are utilized throughout the workshop.
  • Responsible for having the parts department order the correct parts on the vehicle that is being worked on, If it was the technicians fault that a part was ordered wrong, then the technician will be charged the price of the part up to $50.00
