About The Role We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in Hamburg. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of our digital education platform, particularly focusing on building new features and improving existing functionalities. You will play a key part in constructing the technical foundation for our upcoming video player based on Vidstack, a critical project in our roadmap. The position is flexible, available as a full‑time or part‑time engagement (minimum 30 hours per week), with an initial contract of two years, and freelance collaboration options. You will work closely with our internal team and external IT partners to ensure the platform remains stable, scalable, and easy to maintain. Your work will directly influence the quality of educational content delivered to children and support teachers in their daily instructional activities. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have solid experience in full‑stack development, particularly with React and a server‑side language such as Elixir or comparable technologies. Familiarity with TypeScript, PostgreSQL databases, and REST APIs is essential. You should have a proven track record of navigating and improving mature codebases, demonstrating an autonomous working style, open communication, and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving within a team environment. A genuine enthusiasm for digital education and motivation to work within a mission‑driven organization are highly valued. Additionally, experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, code reviews, and automated testing is preferred. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include developing new features and enhancing existing functionalities of our platform using React, TypeScript, and Elixir/Phoenix LiveView. You will contribute to building the technical infrastructure for our new video player based on Vidstack, which is a central project in our upcoming development cycle. Ensuring platform stability and long‑term maintainability through clean code, comprehensive documentation, and automated tests will be a core part of your role. You will implement and adhere to professional software development practices such as CI/CD, Git workflows, pull requests, and code reviews. Leveraging artificial intelligence as an assistive tool while maintaining responsibility for overall quality and system architecture is also expected. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with the Product Owner and team members to make informed technical decisions that align with our educational mission and product goals.
