Job TitleDiagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)LocationEnid, OKHoursFriday-Sunday 0500-1730Essential FunctionsReport to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shiftPerform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilitiesMaintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workdayWork collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environmentResponsibilitiesPerforms routine testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, molecular, and microbiology. Assist with specimen processing as needed.Follow employer and hospital policies.Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.Main responsibility will be duties in the clinical laboratory.Additional duties will include assisting supervisor/manager with special projects/assignments.QualificationsEducation Requirements: BS in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science/medical laboratory technology; Previously qualified as a technologist under 42 CFR 493.1489Credentials: ASCP or equivalent exam eligible within 1-3 years, MLT/MLS certification preferredRequired Knowledge:Good understanding of laboratory procedures.Ability to troubleshoot problems, to identify cause and synthesize alternatives.Clear and effective communicationAbility to react positively with coworkers.Ability to use independent judgement to solve problems.Able to manage time, prioritize, and delegate.Good computer skills a plus.Knowledge in Epic and Media Lab is a plus.Special Requirements:Ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.Reflect the company's values in all aspects of performance.Must be a team player.Keyboard skills are important.Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required.Must be willing to work overtime or other times/shifts if required.This part-time position will have a variable schedule that will include weekend coverage.Physical and Mental Requirements:The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.Frequent walking and/or standing.May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.About the TeamQuest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
