My Kids Childcare (MKC) provides high-quality, nurturing care and early education for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. We strive to create a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children can learn through play, exploration, relationships, and hands-on experiences.

Position Summary

The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom for young children. This position supports toddlers as they develop independence, communication, social-emotional skills, and important early learning skills through play and daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the health, safety, and active supervision of all children.
• Create a warm, welcoming, organized, and engaging toddler classroom.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning experiences.
• Follow MKC curriculum and classroom expectations.
• Support language development, social-emotional skills, independence, and positive behavior.
• Assist children with daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and rest time.
• Observe and document children's development using Teaching Strategies GOLD and other required assessment tools.
• Maintain accurate classroom records and required documentation.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families through Procare and in-person conversations.
• Share appropriate classroom updates and photos with families.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
• Work cooperatively with assistant teachers and support staff.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow all MKC policies and Ohio childcare licensing requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and center events.
• Be dependable, punctual, flexible, and willing to support the needs of the center.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred.
• CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Must meet all Ohio childcare licensing requirements for the position.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work positively and professionally as part of a team.
• Patience, energy, and a genuine passion for working with toddlers.
