Backend Software Engineer

Seeking a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, the candidate will modernize a legacy system managing international security cooperation through the use of AI-led development tools and focus on delivering verified capabilities across the software stack. Key Responsibilities Decompose complex business problems into technical specifications for AI implementation Develop domain services in TypeScript and Node.js, including case lifecycle and pricing engines Lead the extraction and reimplementation of business logic from legacy systems into a modern environment Required Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a U.S. SECRET clearance 3+ years of experience building and operating production web systems Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) Professional proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and security fundamentals
