Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.00 / hour (Depending on Experience) — Paid Weekly
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 2nd Shift (7:00 PM – 3:45 AM)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Overtime: Occasional Saturdays and extended daily hours as required based on production needs.
Position Summary
Wise Staffing Group is currently seeking a dependable, driven Group Lead for 2nd shift for a fast-paced automotive manufacturing client in Athens, AL. We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee daily assembly and production operations, manage shift productivity, and ensure site quality and safety standards are consistently met. This temp-to-perm role offers long-term growth and a direct path to full-time client hire.
Key Responsibilities & Job Duties
- Direct and manage shift team members to meet daily assembly and quality targets.
- Ensure all associates follow designated process standards and process assignments.
- Oversee workflow on automotive production lines (including seating and wiring work).
- Maintain clear communication between floor teams, site management, and staffing management.
- Monitor attendance, team performance, and adherence to production schedules.
- Enforce all plant safety rules, proper lifting techniques, and immediate injury reporting protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory, group lead, or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal team management abilities.
- Attendance: Outstanding dependability, daily attendance, and punctuality are critical.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in automotive manufacturing or quality inspection is strongly preferred.
- Dress Code & PPE:
- Steel-toe boots required.
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8–10+ hour shifts.
- Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, gripping, and repetitive hand movements.
