Job Description

• Own and continuously improve the company's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, including HACCP, Preventive Controls, and GMP compliance
• Lead and oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs across manufacturing sites, co-manufacturers, and suppliers
• Serve as the primary owner of food safety certification programs (e.g., SQF or equivalent) and lead regulatory and third-party audits
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA (including Organic, where applicable), state, and relevant international regulatory requirements
• Drive a proactive quality culture through training, clear accountability, and leadership development
• Lead deviation management, root cause investigations, and CAPA programs to ensure effective and sustainable resolution
• Define, track, and report quality KPIs across internal operations and external partners
• Build and manage supplier and co-manufacturer quality programs, including audits and performance management
• Partner with R&D and Operations to embed quality throughout product development, scale-up, and commercialization
• Oversee label compliance, claims review, and regulatory readiness for new product launches
• Maintain recall readiness, crisis management plans, and regulatory response procedures
• Monitor regulatory trends and proactively adapt policies and procedures as requirements evolve
• Develop and manage the Quality budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility
• Support packaging and material compliance, including supplier qualifications and safety validation

The Successful Applicant

• 15+ years of progressive Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in food and beverage manufacturing preferred
• Experience managing or overseeing third-party or co-manufacturing partners
• Certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, and internal auditing required; food safety certification leadership experience (e.g., SQF Practitioner or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations and food safety requirements
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in fast-growth environments
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams
• Willingness to travel occasionally to partner manufacturing sites
